GH Motorcycles G&B Finch Race Team Maxxis British Championship Round 4

Luke Parker and Luke Benstead took part in the 4th round of the Maxxis British Motocross Championship at Hawkstone Park on Sunday. With decent sunshine and a very well prepared circuit, it was setting up to be some very good racing conditions on the infamous Hawkstone Park Hill. Luke Parker was on for his 7th consecutive weekend of racing and had just come off a overall win from the previous weekend at Lyng. Luke Benstead has had a couple weeks off of racing but had still been doing plenty training and riding and he loves racing at Hawkstone park. Both riders had a steady qualifying session and Benstead ended the session in 19th and Parker ended up 20th with less than a second separating them.

Race 1 Luke Benstead ended the first lap in 19th place, he then got to work and steadily climbed his way up the order picking places off each lap, he eventually got as high as 14th place but made a mistake with a few laps to go and lost 1 place eventually finishing race 1 in 15th. Luke Parker got off to a bad start and unfortunately crashed early, Luke got up and with the pace being so fast was unable to really catch back up and finished a lonely 25th.

Race 2 had Luke Benstead start the race in 16th, he then lost a position early on and then gained it back a few laps later to finish 16th. Luke Parker mirrored Luke Benstead and started just behind him in 17th place and then also lost a place after a few laps to gain it back later and finish 17th. This left Luke Benstead with a 17th overall and Luke Parker in 20th overall for the day.
